Women’s Pan Am Cup: Canada fourth overall

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 20, 2021 – The U.S. beat Canada 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-17) in the bronze medal match of the Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup on Sunday.

Host Dominican Republic won its fifth gold medal in the history of the tournament after beating Mexico in consecutive sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-14).
 
Canada, mostly NextGen players mixed with a few senior team athletes, finished fourth. Cuba and Puerto Rico were fifth and sixth respectively.
 
Canada’s Brie King was among the individual award winners, receiving the honour for best setter.
