Victoria set to welcome 2025 Artistic Swimming National Qualifier & University National Championships

Victoria, March 17, 2025 – Over 800 Canadian athletes, coaches and officials will converge on Victoria on March 17-23 to take part in this year’s National Artistic Swimming Qualifier. Held at Saanich Commonwealth Place, the 6-day competition will feature a total of 25 different events in the youth (13-15), junior and senior age groups. The competition will also feature 5 events in the Adaptive Artistic Swimming categories.

The 475 athletes will represent 36 clubs from 9 Canadian provinces at the competition hosted by the local club, Victoria Artistic Swimming, in collaboration with BC and Canada Artistic Swimming. 90 coaches, 40 officials and over 50 local volunteers will also be on hand for the biggest competition of the year on the national calendar.

A total of 42 athletes from the province of British Columbia will be taking part in the competition, including 13 of them from the host club.

The event marks the return of a national event to the Commonwealth Place exactly 10 years after its last edition in March 2015, when the 3rd edition of the National Qualifiers took place there.

“The Victoria Artistic Swimming club, its athletes, coaches, and community are thrilled to be the host club for the 2025 National Qualifier,” said Brenda Scott, Head Coach of the club. “We look forward to supporting not only the athletes from our club but also all the athletes from across the country who will compete to secure their place in the Canadian National Championships. It will be an amazing celebration of talent, dedication and sportsmanship.”
