U SPORTS Football Athlete Suspended for Presence of Higenamine

Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) – (Ottawa, Ontario – March 20, 2019) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Kyle Borsa, a U SPORTS football athlete affiliated with the University of Regina, received a 16-month sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during out-of-competition doping control on October 16, 2018, revealed the presence of higenamine, a prohibited beta-2 agonist.
