U SPORTS Football Athlete Not at Fault for Presence of Dexamethasone

Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) – (Ottawa, Ontario – May 1, 2019) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Samuel Thomassin, a U SPORTS football athlete affiliated with Université Laval, produced a urine sample, collected during in-competition doping control on November 3, 2018, that revealed the presence of dexamethasone, a prohibited glucocorticoid when administered by injection intra-muscularly.
