The 2023 Canadian Youth Championships are underway in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Regina Lawn Bowling Club. The competition takes place from July 26 – July 30, 2023 and will feature the top youth bowlers from across the country in the men’s and women’s Under 18 and Under 25 divisions. The winners of the Under 25 division for men and women earn the right to represent Canada at the 2023 IIBC Junior Championships.
The Regina Lawn Bowling Club was established in 1912. It is a four green club that and has hosted 8 Canadian Championships (1973, 1980, 1990, 1996, 2003, 2006, 2013 and 2018). They also hosted the inaugural Canadian Junior Championship in 1996.
The Canadian Youth Championships is one of the stops for national team scouts who are looking to identify Team Canada’s developing top talent. National squad athletes Baylee Van Steijn and Jordan Kos will be amongst the competitors looking to punch their tickets for the 2023 IIBC World Youth Championship.
