The 2019 Canadian Boxing Qualification will be held in Montreal on December 16-20

Boxing Canada – Montreal – October 25, 2019. Boxing Canada is proud to announce that the 2019 Canadian Qualification will take place December 16 – 20 at Le Westin Montreal hotel. The best Elite boxers across Canada will be action in the heart of Montreal to confirm the National Team selection ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualification events next spring.

Our organization is committed to working closely with our partners to ensure that participants enjoy an unforgettable stay,” states Yves Lalumière, Tourisme Montréal’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

The stakes of the Canadian Qualification are incredibly important as we move closer to the Olympic Qualification Pathway next spring. Indeed, Elite National Team boxers will be fighting to defend their spots while each province may register up to two boxers per division to challenge the Canadian champions for an opportunity to represent Canada at the upcoming international Olympic Qualification events. Those selected from the Canadian Qualification will move on to participate in the American Olympic Qualification event in Buenos Aires, Argentina from March 26 – April 3 as well as the World Olympic Qualification event in Paris, France from May 13 – 24 for a chance to earn their spot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The 2019 Canadian Qualification is an event not to be missed, featuring world-calibre athletes as they venture towards their Olympic dream. The competition is open to the public and tickets are now available for purchase online for $90 for a week pass or $25 per session ($30 for the finals), and discounted prices are offered for youths aged 16 years and under (Purchase your tickets here)
