Ottawa, ON (June 11, 2025) – Canadian crowds are in store for a thrilling competition at the 2025 Skate Canada International with numerous world medalists scheduled to face-off at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK from October 31 – November 2, 2025.
Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, who dazzled in Boston this spring where they claimed their second consecutive world silver medal in ice dance, will be joined by two-time World Champion Ilia Malinin of the USA who will headline the men’s competition. The women’s event will feature women’s world bronze medalist Mone Chiba of Japan, while the pairs field will be led by Germany’s Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nikita Volodin, the reigning world silver medalists.
A total of 18 Canadian skaters are slated to showcase their skills at the event including 2025 Four Continents pair silver medalists Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps. They will be joined by three-time Canadian Champion Madeline Schizas in the women’s competition, and 2025 Four Continents bronze medalists Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha in ice dance. Roman Sadovsky, the two-time National Champion, will lead the Canadian contingent in the men’s event.
Skate Canada International is the third competition on the annual ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The series will play a crucial role in shaping the road to the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, offering athletes the chance to gain international ranking points, build competitive momentum, and make their case for Olympic selection.
All-event tickets for the 2025 Skate Canada International are on sale now for a limited time and will give fans full access to all competitions running from Friday to Sunday as well as Thursday practices. Please note there is no Exhibition Gala this year.
