Softball Canada Names 2020 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool

Softball Canada – Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of forty-four (44) athletes who have been named to the 2020 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool.
 
The Canadian Men’s National Team won a bronze medal at the 2019 WBSC World Championship this summer in the Czech Republic. A WBSC Americas Men’s Pan American Championship is expected to take place in 2020 ahead of the 2021 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup. Locations and dates for both those events have not been determined yet.
 
The Athlete Pool includes fifteen (15) players from the 2019 World Championship Team after the announcement that Jeff Ellsworth (St. Lawrence, P.E.I.) and Steve Mullaley (Freshwater, N.L.) retired from international competition. The list also includes a total of eight (8) new members to the Athlete Pool.

Athletes named to the Men’s National Team Athlete Pool are eligible to be invited to Men’s National Team training, development and selection camps. Athletes may be added or removed from the National Team Athlete Pool at any time at the coaching staff’s discretion.
