Softball Canada Announces Women’s Softball 2025 World Games Roster

Ottawa, Ont. – After an impressive summer on the international stage, Softball Canada is proud to unveil the roster for the Women’s National Team that will represent Canada at the 2025 World Games, taking place August 13–17 in Chengdu, China.

Fresh off a gold medal performance at the Pan American Championship in Montería, Colombia and a silver medal finish at the 2025 Canada Cup, The World Games offers another opportunity for Canada to build on that success against some of the strongest programs in the world.

“Our program has incredible momentum right now,” said the Women’s National Team Head Coach, Kaleigh Rafter. “This roster has a mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent, and they’ve already shown they can compete at the highest level. The World Games will be another step forward for this group.”

Team Canada (No. 4) will compete in Group B, alongside Japan (No. 1), Puerto Rico (No. 3), and Australia (No. 8). Group A will include the United States (No. 2), Chinese Taipei (No. 5), the Netherlands (No. 6) and China (No. 10)

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, with the tournament culminating in a medal round on Sunday, August 17.

Canada last competed at the World Games in 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, where they earned a sixth-place finish.
