Softball Canada Announces Women’s National Team for the 2025 WBSC Americas Women’s Pan American Championship and 2025 Canada Cup

Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada and the Women’s National Team coaching staff are excited to announce the 16 athletes that will be representing Canada at the 2025 WBSC Americas Women’s Pan American Championship and the 21 athletes at the 2025 Canada Cup.

The Women’s Pan Am Championship is set to take place from June 27 to July 4 in Monteria, Colombia. Drawn into Group A, Canada will Face Off against Peru (No.16), Colombia (No.31), Argentina (No.32), and Chile (No.52). This tournament serves as a key qualifier for the 2026 WBSC Women’s World Cup Group Stage, and Canada will be aiming for a top finish after coming off an exciting third place finish at the 2024 WBSC Women’s World Cup.
Team Canada will travel to Surrey, B.C. to compete in the 2025 Canada Cup, running from July 7–13. After an undefeated run at last year’s tournament, Canada will be aiming to defend their title and capture gold once again.

“This group of athletes has been training hard throughout the off-season, and we were extremely pleased with the level of competitiveness and talent shown at this year’s selection camp. It was not only the largest camp we’ve held, but also the deepest in terms of skill and depth. I’m excited to see this group represent Canada at the Pan American Championship in Colombia and on home soil at the Canada Cup.” – Head Coach Kaleigh Rafter

The rosters feature a strong blend of experience and fresh talent. For the Pan Am Championship, 12 athletes return from Canada’s 2024 WBSC Women’s World Cup squad, while four players will be making their Pan Am debut. At the Canada Cup, 13 athletes are back from last year’s gold-medal-winning team, joined by eight newcomers set to make their first appearance at the event.
