Ottawa, Ont. (Nov. 10, 2025) – Six Canadian athletes are heading to Lake Placid, New York, for Skate America 2025, the fifth event in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series to be held from Nov. 14-16, 2025. The athletes will compete in the ice dance and pair events.
Leading the charge for the Canadian delegation will be national ice dance silver medallists, Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha, who recently claimed the bronze medal at 2025 Skate Canada International in Saskatoon, Sask. The duo will look to earn a place on the podium in Lake Placid in effort to secure a spot at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final this December.
They will be joined in the ice dance competition by national bronze medallists Alicia Fabbri and Paul Ayer, who are coming off a ninth-place finish at the NHK Trophy in Japan last weekend.
After a delayed start to their season caused by an injury, pair duo Kelly Ann Laurin and Loucas Éthier will round out the Canadian team at Skate America. This event will mark their second Grand Prix event of the season, after earning a fifth-place finish at Skate Canada International earlier this month.
