Sitting Volleyball Teams to Compete at Dutch Tournament

July 02, 2025: Both the women’s and men’s Canadian sitting volleyball teams are in Assen, Netherlands for the 10th annual Dutch Tournament (July 4-6).

Nine nations are part of the lineup: Canada, Estonia, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey and the USA.

Canada’s women’s team is the reigning Dutch Tournament champion, winning gold over Brazil last year. The team went on to capture bronze at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This 2025 women’s team includes five Paralympic medalists.

The women face France on July 4 to kick off the tournament.

This year, Canada will also have a men’s team competing – the men’s first match is against Estonia, also on Friday.
