Seven athletes have been announced by Alpine Canada to represent Canada at the 2025 FIS World Ski Cross Championships in Engadin, Switzerland March 21st through 23rd.
The athletes head to the World Championships coming off strong results at last weekend’s World Cup stop at the Craigleith Ski Club in Collingwood, Ontario, where Canada captured 50% of the podium spots. With just one World Cup race weekend left this season, Canadians are sitting in second place in both the men’s and women’s Crystal Globe standings, and Canada has a healthy lead the Nations Cup.
“The team has delivered consistent results and I’m most excited that we have had seven different athletes stand on World Cup podiums this season,” said Stanley Hayer, Head Coach of Canada’s Ski Cross Team. “This group really supports each other on and off the snow, and they push themselves and their teammates in training and competition to bring out their best every day.”
“Canada is the #1 Ski Cross nation and we are very proud of this group of athletes that will be heading to World Championships to compete with the world’s best,” said Therese Brisson, President and CEO of Alpine Canada. “I am confident that this team will take that Canadian pride and support we felt in Craigleith with flags waving and cow bells ringing this past weekend to the World Championships in St. Moritz.”
