Canadian Women & Sport (CWS) is inviting sport, physical activity, and recreation organizations across Canada to apply for the Same Game Challenge presented by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart).
A total of 60 Canadian organizations will be selected to take part in the program from May to December 2025. Canadian Women & Sport’s sister organization in Quebec, Égale Action, will select 20 Quebec-based organizations to complete the program entirely in French during the same period.
The Same Game Challenge is a free step-by-step process for sport leaders to build competencies, gain access to resources and develop the skills they need to tackle gender equity. Once they have completed their 7-month gender equity journey, these sport leaders will be equipped and empowered to create more inclusive sport environments for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants.
During the program, organizations are supported with:
- A $1,000 honorarium to support gender equity activities.
- 1:1 coaching and mentorship on how to embed gender equity into organizational strategies, processes, and programs.
- Access to free licenses of the Gender Equity LENS e-learning module for organizational leaders.
- Connection with a community of participants made up of diverse leaders and organizations from across Canada.
Between 2021 and 2024, 240 organizations nationwide have completed the Same Game Challenge, 92% of which reported feeling they gained new skills they will use in their work to create better, safer sport for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants in sport.
Applications are open until April 20, 2025. Apply here.
