Kingston Yacht Club goes virtual

With many summer camps being closed this summer, the Kingston Yacht Club has created a new innovative way to learn how to sail and improve sailing knowledge online.

The KYC Academy is now offering online coaching to anyone who’s interested at no cost. Through interactive Zoom seminars, virtual regattas and videos lessons children and youth will be able to stay engaged throughout the summer and stay part of the Kingston sailing community. KYC has a long tradition of great coaches, amazing waters and a fun environment. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced racer who’s sailed the world’s most famous waterways.

Ali ten Hove, Canadian Sailing Team member, and Olympic hopeful from the Kingston Yacht Club states “I have been fortunate to travel around the world sailing in different venues, and I can confidently say that there is no place like Kingston. The high level coaching staff at KYC helped me build a solid foundation of fundamental sailing skills and helped me learn key skills such as adaptability, communication and problem solving. The KYC Academy is a great opportunity to learn and grow!
