Pre-Qualified Teams set for 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and Montana’s Brier

It’s summertime, but many of Canada’s best women’s and men’s curling teams are currently putting in the hours off the ice to prepare for chasing Canadian championship glory this coming season.

Already, the reigning champions of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts (Team Rachel Homan of Ottawa) and the Montana’s Brier (Team Brad Jacobs of Calgary) know they will be returning as Team Canada to those events.

Today, Curling Canada announced the three teams for each event that will be joining them as pre-qualified entries based on their 2024-25 Canadian Team Ranking System results.

At the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, set for Jan. 23-Feb. 1 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ont., those three teams joining Team Homan in the 18-team field are Team Kerri Einarson of Gimli, Man., Team Kayla Skrlik of Calgary and Team Christina Black of Halifax.

At the 2026 Montana’s Brier, presented by AGI, Feb. 27-March 8 at the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s, N.L., the hometown favourite Team Brad Gushue will be in the field, along with Team Matt Dunstone of Winnipeg and Team Mike McEwen of Saskatoon.

The remainder of the fields for both events will comprise 14 Member Association champions that will be determined during the coming season.

As the summer goes on and we get closer to curling season, ticket demand will continue to rise for both events.

For the Scotties, ticket packages, starting at just $60, are available online at www.curling.ca/2026scotties/tickets, and in-person at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre box office during regular business hours. Phone inquiries can be made by calling 905-305-6000.

Premium seat options, including suites and club seats, as well as group sales options are also available. If you’re planning a corporate outing, community event, or a weekend with friends and family, we offer premium seating options tailored to your needs, with further information available at www.curling.ca/2026scotties/group-tickets.

At the Montana’s Brier, the first offering of 4,200 full-event package tickets has already been snapped up. But don’t worry — more tickets will go on sale in early October once television and event schedules are finalized.

Once the next round of ticket packages goes on sale, there will still be approximately 25 per cent of the arena’s capacity available for ALL draws, including the playoffs, so fans who missed out in the initial phase of ticket sales still have a great opportunity to be part of the fun in St. John’s!

Be sure to keep checking both event websites — www.curling.ca/2026scotties and www.curling.ca/2026brier — or sign up on the Curling Canada Collective to get updates on ticket offerings and volunteer opportunities.
