Para Team Heading to Chicago for Second Stage of Americas Para Cup

OTTAWA, ON – Following a successful three medal haul at the first stage of the Americas Para Cup, four athletes are heading to Chicago for the second leg of the circuit. This event serves as a World Ranking Event and a follow-up to the 2023 edition.

The athletes selected are as followed: 

Compound Men Open

  • Kyle Tremblay (ON)
  • Daniel Comeau (QC) 
  • Chris Waterman (MB)

Recurve Men Open

  • Jean-François Lavergne (QC)

Staff

  • Kathy Millar

At the last stage of the Americas Para Cup in Morelia, Comeau won the individual silver in his category, as well as the doubles silver paired up with Tremblay. Lavergne won the bronze medal in his doubles event in Morelia, alongside teammate Shawn Matheson. 

Competition Schedule

  • Thursday, August 28 – Official practice and equipment inspection
  • Friday, August 29 – Qualification and individual elimination rounds
  • Saturday, August 30 – Team and doubles elimination rounds
  • Sunday, August 31 – Gold medal matches
