Ombrelle Named Title Sponsor of 2025 Ombrelle Canadian Open Water Festival in Montreal

MONTREAL – Swimming Canada, in partnership with the Fédération de natation du Québec (FNQ), is proud to announce Ombrelle as the title sponsor of the 2025 Ombrelle Canadian Open Water Festival, taking place in Montreal Saturday and Sunday at the Olympic Rowing Basin in Parc Jean-Drapeau.

“FNQ is proud to host the Canadian Open Water Festival in Montreal. This national event will showcase the exceptional talent of the athletes, while offering the general public all the intensity and energy of open water swimming. Each race is a personal challenge and a unique experience of pushing oneself beyond one’s limits,” said FNQ Executive Director Francis Ménard.

This two-day festival was added to Canada’s open water swimming calendar last year, and this year will be a stop on the Quebec provincial open water circuit. Top regional talent will compete and the event also features mass participation races, offering recreational and aspiring athletes, as well as families, the chance to enjoy open water swimming in a safe, supportive, and family-friendly environment.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ombrelle as a sponsor of Swimming Canada and as the title partner of the Canadian Open Water Festival. This partnership is a perfect fit. Ombrelle’s trusted sun protection aligns with our commitment to athlete health, safety, and performance in outdoor environments. Together, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on open water swimming and elevate the experience for participants and fans,” said Swimming Canada Marketing Director Alan Raphael.

As title sponsor, Ombrelle will amplify their presence through athlete engagement, outdoor education and sampling in an environment where sun protection is vital. On-site activations will promote sun care awareness and help ensure that both athletes and spectators stay safe while enjoying the outdoors.

“Ombrelle is immensely proud to be the sponsor of the 2025 Ombrelle Canadian Open Water Festival. This family-driven event provides a powerful platform to highlight the vital importance of sun protection for everyone embracing the outdoors. Our commitment is to ensure all Canadian family members stay safe under the sun, which is why we will be actively distributing our essential products throughout the festival. Protecting Canadians is, and always will be, our core mission,” said Ombrelle Marketing Brand Manager Livia Passos.

The 2025 Ombrelle Canadian Open Water Festival is a key part of the growing relationship between Swimming Canada and Ombrelle, which spans the 2025 season.

Ombrelle is also recognized as the official partner of Swimming Canada’s development and open water teams, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of Canadian swimmers.
