National Coaches Week is On Now!

Coaching Association of Canada – Say #ThanksCoach to celebrate the valuable contributions that coaches make to the quality of life in your community and across Canada!

From September 21-29, athletes, participants, volunteers, and parents across Canada to are publicly recognizing and celebrating coaches for the time and energy they devote to developing participants’ passion for sport and to abiding by the principles of responsible coaching.

Social media hashtags #ThanksCoach #MerciCoach, #CoachesWeek, and #SemaineDesEntraineurs are trending with messages of recognition and thanks from within the sport community across Canada.

Organizations of all levels are participating in the week by hosting recognition events, offering discounted Coach training, and planning celebrations during practices and games. Municipalities across Canada have made mayoral declarations and coaches can access select free National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) eLearning modules during the week.

We Need Your Help!

National Coaches Week wouldn’t be possible without the support of Provincial / Territorial Coaching Representatives, National Sport Organizations, hundreds of Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations, Provincial/Territorial Aboriginal Sport Bodies, University teams, thousands of clubs, and the millions of participants and athletes across Canada. This year make sure one of them is you!

In last year’s campaign, nearly 7,000 coaches took a free NCCP eLearning module and close to 12,000 social media posts featured the National Coaches Week hashtags to share a message of thanks. Online, the campaign received more than 43 million impressions thanks to engagement from athletes, coaches, and sport administrators at all levels. This year, we’re aiming even higher!
