Dear Colleague,
We’re back with more exciting news about ReImagine RREC!
Does your organization or your stakeholders have a story to tell? The ReImagine RREC project, an initiative of the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, is now accepting submissions for its crowdsourcing initiative to create a collection of promising practices that will contribute to renewal and recovery in our communities. We are seeking examples of how programs and services have been renewed to return to sustainable operations and healthy, active communities. Submissions can be anything from new programs, operational policies or guidelines that were developed to meet public health measures, to novel approaches to engaging citizens or new partnerships that support recovery.
Online submissions are being accepted between February 1 and 22.
We are asking that you consider submitting something from your organization and, if appropriate, circulate this invitation to participate to your stakeholders. There are also images you can use for your communications (logo and social media image in both English and French). They can be accessed here.
Please also feel free to repost/retweet CPRA’s content from our social media channels:

Here’s what you and your members need to know:
- You and your members or stakeholders can submit online here between February 1 and February 22.
- All submissions will be reviewed against three criteria:
- Does your promising practice contribute to a return to sustainable operations?
- Does your promising practice contribute to broader community recovery?
- Does your promising practice contribute to personal and community wellbeing?
- You and your members can also share photos, images, reports and other e-files that provide background information about your promising practice.
- It will take only 5 minutes to submit your promising practice.
All submissions will be eligible to win a $100 Canadian Tire gift card. Best of all, the top 50 promising practices will be published online and featured by CPRA in a national ReImagine RREC Webinar in spring 2021!
Please visit our ReImagine RREC Blog for more information. You can also register here to receive regular updates and be invited to contribute in other ways.
Yours in RREC recovery,
CPRA
