Galipeau and Kos Ready to Represent Canada at the 2023 World Youth Championships

Erik Galipeau (Port Credit, ON) and Jordan Kos (Regina, SK) are ready to represent Canada at the 2023 IIBC World Under 25 Singles & Mixed Pairs Championship. The event is taking place from December 4-8 at the East Kilbride Indoor Bowling Club in Scotland, U.K. “The Scottish indoor facilities are world class and a draw bowlers paradise which will suit our Canadian athletes.”, says Head Coach Derek Dillon.

Galipeau and Kos earned the right to represent Canada by claiming the 2023 Canadian Youth Championship titles this past July in Regina. Both Kos and Galipeau won the Under 25 division of the Canadian Championship, and will be donning the red and white in Scotland alongside coach Derek Dillon.

“Canada will be well represented by Jordan Kos and Erik Galipeau at the IIBC Junior World Championships beginning on December 4th in Scotland. Both athletes are no strangers to playing overseas and I am confident that they will perform well at the East Kilbride Indoor Bowls Club.”, says Dillon. “Both players are coming off a busy Canadian outdoor season which saw them qualify for this event by winning their Junior National Championships.”

17 athletes from 18 nations will be competing in Scotland. Galipeau and Kos will both compete in singles as well as teaming up for a mixed pairs event as well.
