Gabriel Diallo Crowned Champion of ITF 25K Tournament in Montreal

Montreal, March 20, 2023— On Sunday, Canada’s Gabriel Diallo, the top seed at the $25,000 ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour event held at Stade IGA in Montreal, won his first title of the season, defeating No. 2 seed Henri Squire of Germany in straight sets 7-6(5), 6-3.

The 21-year-old, who took a wild card into the tournament, also knocked out third-seeded American Strong Kirchheimer 6-2, 7-6(6) in the semifinals. The win marks the third title of Diallo’s professional career. Last year, he took home top honours on home soil at the Granby National Bank Championships, the most prestigious tournament he’s won to date.
