Four athletes to represent Canada at World Archery Para Championships

Ottawa, Ontario – Archery Canada is proud to announce the athletes who will represent Canada at the World Archery Para Championships, to be held in Gwangju Korea, from September 22-28th 2025.

Following the conclusion of the second leg of the America’s Para Cup, the team hopes to build off the success they have seen in the America’s Cup, and switch their focus to the World Championships. 

The 2025 World Archery Para Championships will be Daniel Comeau’s World Championship debut, going into this competition after earning two silver medals at both legs of the America’s Para Cup,  America’s Para Cup Leg 1 in Mexico, America’s Para Cup Leg 2 in Chicago. 

Recurve Open:

  • Jean-François Lavergne, Saint-Raymond, QC

Compound Open:

  • Kyle Tremblay, Deep River, ON
  • Daniel Comeau, Shannon, QC
  • Chris Waterman, Winnipeg, MB

Staff:

  • Linda Price, Mission, BC – Head Coach Paralympic Team
  • François Belanger, Quebec QC – Support Coach
  • Roger Tremblay, Deep River ON – Agent

The World Archery Para Championships are a key event on the international calendar, and the final event in our international outdoor season. This event will play a key indicator and launch point for both the athletes as they move to prepare for the 2027 Para Pan Am Games and LA2028.
