FINAL 8 FINAL ROUNDUP: Saskatchewan women, Victoria men claim basketball supremacy

VANCOUVER – The Saskatchewan Huskies women and the Victoria Vikes men will be leaving the 2025 INDOCHINO U SPORTS Final 8s with some extra baggage. The Huskies downed Carleton to take their third-ever Bronze Baby as U SPORTS women’s basketball champions, while Victoria won the W.P. McGee Trophy, emblematic of men’s basketball supremacy, for the ninth time, but the first since 1997. Earlier in the day, the Ottawa Gee-Gees swept both bronze medals, with the women winning over the hosts UBC, while their men defeated the Atlantic champions from UPEI.
