Field Hockey Canada Launches Road to Tokyo Countdown

With the fast approaching 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Field Hockey Canada has launched an official Road to Tokyo Campaign. This initiative will connect members with the athletes as they gear up for competition. We will be offering many fan engagement opportunities along with in depth story telling about the Red Caribou so be sure to follow us on social media and check our web hub regularly for updates and events.

National Volunteer Week: April 19th-26th 

We hope that you took the time to thank all the volunteers in your community this past April because we know how engaged you were in appreciating our volunteers in the field hockey community. JENN BEAGAN appointed as the True Sport Manager. Jenn has worked with Field Hockey BC for many years, as a volunteer and professional coach. She also chaired chaired the Field Hockey Canada Coach Education Committee. In this new position, she will bring her skills and experience to integrate the True Sport Principles across all of our programs and implement gender equity, diversity and inclusivity initiatives.

MNT Complete First European Training Tour

With their last competition being over 14 months ago, the Red Caribou have finally been able to partake in a 2-week long training tour, playing test matches against Belgium and France as they prepare for Tokyo 2020.

Richard Hildreth Announces Retirement 

After his 17-year long career, one of the longest of any active player, Richard Hildreth announces his retirement. He has had a decorated career, amassing 188 caps while attending over 40 international competitions. Congratulations on a tremendous career! READ MORE

Field Hockey Canada Partners with Tamanawis Field Hockey

Field Hockey Canada will establish a Regional Training Centre at Tamanawis Park and highlight the region as a home for Canadian field hockey. National team athletes will support local programming by leading training sessions and acting in a coaching capacity.READ MORE

Field Hockey Canada’s Community Coach eLearning Module

The Coach Education committee is pleased to announce that the community Coach eLearning module is now live and accessible to all coaches across the country. The FHC Sport Specific community workshop is now a self-paced digital eLearning module, available in both French and English, that coaches can access at any time, and on a schedule that works for each club, league and training environment.
