Exciting Player List Announced for the 2025 Repentigny National Bank Junior Tennis Championships

[MONTREAL, QC] August 19, 2025 – Canada’s highest-graded junior event on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the J300 Repentigny National Bank Junior Tennis Championships (ITJR), today announced the list of players who will take part in the event held at Parc Larochelle in Repentigny, Quebec. The tournament, which will run from August 24 to 30, 2025, has been held since 1986 and has crowned several players who went on to dominate the professional circuit, including six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek of Poland.

“We always look forward to the Repentigny National Bank Junior Tennis Championships, as it brings together the world’s best junior players,” said Janie Vigneault, the new tournament director of the ITJR. “This tournament has such a storied history, and the fans in Repentigny make it all the more special. We remind you that admission is free, so take advantage of it if you’re in the area to watch the next generation of tennis stars.”

Leading the way as the girls’ top seed is No. 14 in the world junior rankings Mika Stojsavljevic of Great Britain. The 16-year-old won the US Open Girls’ singles title in 2024 and has spent most of her 2025 season on the professional circuit, participating in her first Grand Slam main draw at Wimbledon as a wild-card recipient. She is joined by three other Top 40 players: Yushan Shao of China (No. 33), Nauhany Vitoria Leme Da Silva of Brazil (No. 38), and Ksenia Efremova of France (No. 39).

On the boys’ side, American Keaton Hance, ranked No. 22 in the world junior rankings, will be the top seed. Earlier this season, the 17-year-old captured his biggest title to date at the J300 Barranquilla in Colombia. Jamie Mackenzie of Germany (No. 23), Ziga Sesko of Slovenia (No. 27), Thilo Behrmann of Austria (No. 30), and Luis Guto Miguel of Brazil (No. 31) round out the top five.

In addition, Canadians Nadia Lagaev and Clémence Mercier will be competing in the girls’ main draw, while Volodymyr Gurenko, Miko Lapalme, Dani Szabo, and Benjamin Azar get set to compete in the boys’ main event. Lagaev, who is Canada’s top-ranked junior at No. 42, already has three J200 titles to her name in 2025. Gurenko, ranked No. 98 in the boys’ division, also has three titles this season, the J100s in Santo Domingo and Kingston, as well as a crown on home soil at the J60 Île des Sœurs.
