CCES Congratulates Beckie Scott on Appointment to Order of Canada

Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport – Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport(Ottawa, Ontario – December 28, 2018) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) would like to congratulate Beckie Scott on her recent appointment to the Order of Canada. This prestigious honour recognizes Beckie’s outstanding achievements as a three-time Olympic athlete, her significant contribution to the fight against doping in sport and her important work in helping indigenous youth in Canada.
 
CCES CEO, Paul Melia, noted, “Among her many achievements, including her Olympic medal performances, Beckie Scott has passionately fought for the rights of clean athletes in Canada and around the world. She has demonstrated real courage in her willingness to speak truth to power and to disrupt the status quo in sport so that the voice of athletes can be heard.”
