Bowls Canada Boulingrin is proud to announce that Canada has been invited to enter both a men’s and women’s team at the prestigious 2025 Hong Kong International Bowls Classic, taking place November 15th–23rd.
Representing the maple leaf on this world-class stage are:
- Pat Bird (AB)
- Joanna Cooper (AB)
- Jon MacDonald (AB)
- Linda Ng (BC)
Hosted by the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association, the Classic is one of the sport’s most exciting international tournaments, featuring singles and pairs competition for both men and women. Since its inception, the event has welcomed more than 730 world-class bowlers, solidifying its reputation as one of lawn bowling’s premier showpieces.
This is an especially exciting year for Canada, with both a men’s and women’s entry set to test their skills against the best in the world. As one of twenty-nine World Bowls Series sanctioned events, the Classic offers ranking points that contribute to the international standings.
After Canada’s historic gold medal performance in 2024 by Emma Boyd and Kelly McKerihen, anticipation is high to see if our 2025 athletes can once again make their mark on the international stage.
We can’t wait to cheer on Team Canada as they bring their skill, strategy, and competitive edge to Hong Kong!
