Montreal, QC – [June 18th 2024] – The Canadian Team Handball Federation (CTHF) is proud to announce the appointment of Carrie Kuypers as the new President of the Federation.  Kuypers is the second woman to hold this prestigious position in the organization’s history.

Carrie Kuypers brings a wealth of experience with non-profit sports organizations, and a proven track record of leadership to the CTHF. With a background that includes extensive work in organizational development and strategic planning, she is well-equipped to lead the Federation into a new era of growth and success. Her previous roles have demonstrated her ability to implement effective structures and drive initiatives that foster progress and excellence. Carrie also recently completed a Sport and Recreation Management Graduate Certificate at the University of Alberta.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carrie Kuypers as the new President of the Canadian Team Handball Federation,” said Nadia Lefebvre, Executive Officer of CTHF. “Her dedication, vision, and dynamic leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of our sport and the development of our athletes across the country.”

In her previous position, Kuypers’ showcased exceptional leadership, driving significant improvements, and fostering a collaborative environment.  Her commitment to excellence and her strategic approach have earned her respect and admiration within the sports community.

Kuypers’ presidency promises to bring a fresh perspective and renewed energy to the Federation. Her appointment is a testament to CTHF’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and forward-thinking leadership.

The Canadian Team Handball Federation extends its gratitude to the outgoing President, David Lee, for his years of dedicated service and leadership.

The Federation also celebrates the re-election of Karin Kacvinsky as Treasurer and Kathryn Howden as the Marketing and Communication Director, ensuring continuity and stability in its leadership team.
