Sail Canada – Canadian Sailing Development Squad athlete Peter Eagar takes home the C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Trophy

Monday, June 24th, 2019 – Kingston, ON

The 17th C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta took place over the weekend in Newport, R.I. With 10 races spread out over the course of 3 days, Canadian sailor Peter Eagar kept to the front of the fleet securing himself a first place finish overall. He comments:

“This is an incredible regatta, today was outstanding racing. We had a bit of everything with the weather here in Newport. I started sailing as a nine year old in a Sabot and have sailed in Sharks, Martin 16s and started sailing the 2.4mR in 2014. This is my first win at The Clagett and I think it’s a case of perseverance pays off.”
