Canadian Cycling Champion Jersey Boldly Reimagined

Ottawa, ON (April 3, 2025) – Cycling Canada is proud to share the updated design of the Canadian Cycling Champion jersey.

Awarded to the winner of every category across disciplines, the Canadian Champion jersey symbolizes the pride inherent in becoming a national champion. The timeless red-and-white colourway and bold maple leaves are easily recognizable and the subtle armband identifies the wearer as having won a coveted Canadian Championship title.

“The previous Canadian Champion jersey was well loved and we wanted to make sure the refresh kept the core components,” said Josh Peacock, Director of Marketing & Events at Cycling Canada. “This new design pays homage to the original, carrying through the theme of the Canadian flag while adding a fresh and modern feel. We know it’s going to become an iconic design that will provide extra motivation for our aspiring Champions!”

The jersey was created in conjunction with designer, Jonathan Wood, and Cycling Canada’s new Official Partner for on-bike apparel, Jakroo, to provide the best in performance technology in addition to its classic design. It will be handed out for the first time at the upcoming 2025 Canadian Track Championships (U17/JR) held in Milton, ON, from April 4-6.

“We’re looking forward to seeing this new design on the backs of the next generation of Canadian Champions,” commented Jakroo Canada’s General Manager, John Beriault. “Working through the process with Jon and Cycling Canada was such an engaging experience for us at Jakroo and after seeing it in person we’re truly proud to be bringing this to life.”
