CBSA, is pleased to announce the hiring of Eron Main as the new full-time Executive Director.

His collaborative approach and vision align perfectly with CBSA’s values, and we’re excited for the organization’s future under his leadership.”
Eron Main is a senior sport leader with over twenty-five years’ experience in the Canadian and international sport systems. He has served in several roles within these systems, including sport administrator, technical official, referee, team leader, and committee and Board member.
Eron has significant experience in non-profit management and governance. He was Executive Director of Rowing British Columbia and Chief Executive Officer of World Wheelchair Rugby. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including viaSport, the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association, and the International Paralympic Committee Sports Council. He has volunteered at numerous national and international championships and multisport games, including being a wheelchair rugby referee and Technical Delegate at Paralympic Games and World Championships. He has been on Team British Columbia mission staff at 3 Canada Games and is currently the Chef de Mission for Team BC for the 2025 Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Eron’s decades-long passion for and involvement with disability inclusion in sport has given him an in-depth understanding of the parasport system, including classification. He is deeply committed to ensuring that all athletes have the opportunity to experience sport that is welcoming, inclusive, and fun. He also works to ensure that high performance para-athletes have access to the technical expertise, competition opportunities, and resources they need to excel. Beyond sport, he is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to information in an appropriate format. He is a certified plain language translator who works with national and provincial disability organizations including Inclusion Canada and People First Canada.
Prior to his career in sport, Eron served as a military engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces for ten years and worked in the federal public service. He has bachelor’s degrees from the Royal Military College of Canada and University of Manitoba, and a master’s degree in information studies from the University of Toronto.
Eron lives in Ladner, British Columbia, with his wife Carla and their two youngest children.
Eron shared, he “is very excited to join the CBSA team. CBSA has an impressive history of developing and supporting athletes who are blind and visually impaired. I am eager to continue this important work with the Board, staff, members, athletes, and volunteers. I especially look forward to working with Canada’s Goalball athletes and coaches as they strive for excellence on the world stage”.
Eron officially joins the team, June 23, 2025.
