Toronto’s Sophie Bukovec and Brandie Wilkerson faced Mariafe Artacho and Taliqua Clancy of Australia to be edged out in the tie-break set 1-2 (21-16, 10-21, 12-15).

Canadian Olympians Melissa Humana-Paredes (Toronto, ON) and Sarah Pavan (Kitchener, ON) faced Duda and Ana Patricia of Brazil.  Brazil dominated to win 2-0 (21-11, 21-13).
