“See It. Be It. Achieve It” is why the BFCMP is significant.  For these young ladies to have a platform and access to other black females from across the country to share their stories, challenges and successes is something I have never had in my 20-year career in sports.  Over 60 females wanted to be a part of this mentorship program – that is speaking volumes of why this program is significant and greatly needed across this country.”

– Shauna Bookal, BFCMP Mentor Coach, Executive Director at Field Hockey Ontario

“The Black Female Coach Mentorship Program (BFCMP) is significant in that it brought coaches together, from different backgrounds, for the common goal of pursuing excellence in the Black community.

Often, we are “the only” in sport leadership roles in our communities.  It was refreshing to hear
from others as they told stories of setbacks, but even better stories of success.”

– Mavis Dzaka, BFCMP Mentee Coach, University of Saskatchewan Track Coach
