Bell renews support of highest-profile national competitions, swimming safety

OTTAWA – Swimming Canada is proud to announce the renewal of its long-standing partnership with Bell, extending the collaboration through the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This renewed commitment marks a significant step forward in the continued growth and visibility of swimming across Canada. Bell will remain front and centre at the country’s most high-profile swimming competitions – including the Bell Canadian Swimming Trials Saturday through Thursday in Victoria – to help shine a light on Canadian athletes as they prepare to take on the world’s best this summer.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with Bell as the title sponsor of the 2025 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials,” said Swimming Canada Marketing Director Alan Raphael.

“Bell’s continued support allows us to deliver a world-class event that highlights the best of Canadian swimming. Initiatives like the Bell Performance of the Day celebrate the incredible achievements of our athletes and add an exciting spotlight to their performances on the road to the World Aquatics Championships and World Para Swimming Championships Singapore.”

Bell’s investment extends beyond high-performance sport. As a lead supporter of the Swim to Survive program – an initiative delivered in partnership with the Lifesaving Society – Bell is playing a critical role in improving water safety for Canadian youth, particularly in underserved communities. The program introduces the essential skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water, an important first step before formal swimming lessons.

“We are proud to continue our longstanding relationship with Swimming Canada,” said David Kennedy, Vice President, Brand and Sponsorship at Bell. “Through the Bell Canadian Swimming Trials and initiatives like Swim to Survive, we aim to support Canadian athletes while helping to ensure more young people have access to essential swimming skills.”

With Bell’s support, Swimming Canada will continue to collaborate on cross-promotional campaigns, athlete storytelling, and major event promotion, creating stronger connections between fans and the country’s top athletes.
