Baseball Canada Statement on the Rescheduling of the Copa América de Béisbol

OTTAWA – Baseball Canada has been informed by WBSC Americas that the Copa América de Béisbol, originally scheduled to take place November 13–22, 2025, in Panama, will be rescheduled to a later date following a breach of contract by the event’s private promoter.

The breach has impacted the organizer’s ability to deliver essential elements required to properly stage the event, including athlete accommodations, transportation, and security.

“We are deeply disappointed by this development and the uncertainty it creates for our athletes and program staff who have worked tirelessly to prepare for this event. The Copa América represents an important opportunity for our national program, and we share in the frustration felt across the baseball community.”

Baseball Canada CEO
