Montreal, September 3, 2020 – The RSEQ (Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec) and its members in high school, elementary, Cégep, and university sectors are proud to announce a medical guide designed specifically for front-line workers in Quebec’s sports community.
Intended for competitive team sports between schools, the guide is a reference tool for managing COVID-19 cases, thus minimizing risks for student-athletes, those in close contact with the team, and the institutions in which games take place.
An important management tool, this guide incorporates measures outlined by the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) that address sports practices and stakeholders.
With the aim of promoting health and safety measures among its 220,000 student-athletes, the RSEQ continues to support Premier François Legault’s efforts to ensure a successful return to school for Quebec students.
The guide was made possible with the support and expertise of its medical committee as well as the Université de Montréal, a close collaborator.
