44 Athletes Named to Skate Canada’s 2025-2026 NextGen Team

OTTAWA, ON (July 25, 2025) – Skate Canada is excited to announce the 44 talented athletes that will make up its NextGen Team for the 2025-2026 competition season. The team will be comprised of twelve women, ten men, four pair teams and seven ice dance teams.

Skate Canada’s NextGen program is designed to guide young figure skaters in their pursuit of excellence. The goal of the program is to build a sustainable pathway to the podium in figure skating by developing world-class athletes who can help elevate Canada’s presence at major international events.

Delivered in partnership with Skate Canada Sections (PSOs), Own the Podium, and Canadian Sport Institutes across the country, the program provides selected skaters and their respective coaches essential support to further their athletic goals, while identifying and supporting the development of the skills necessary to be competitive at a national and international level.
