2020 Para-Dressage Video Competition Series Restarts in Time for July 2020 Leg

Ottawa, ON, July 2, 2020 – Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce the resumption of the Para-Dressage Video Competition Series, presented by Ride Every Stride, with an adjusted calendar for 2020.

New 2020 competition entry deadlines are as follows:

  • July 15, 2020
  • Aug. 15, 2020
  • Sept. 20, 2020
  • Oct. 15, 2020
  • Nov. 15, 2020

Effective July 15, 2020, all classes will be judged by an EC certified Para-Dressage Judge and will no longer be judged by officials that have FEI Para-Dressage Judge certification due to FEI rules.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in the 2020 Para-Dressage Video Competition Series, presented by Ride Every Stride! To participate in the July leg of the 2020 Para-Dressage Video Competition Series, be sure to submit your entry by July 15, 2020. Entries for each competition close at 11:59 p.m. ET. Please ensure that you create your video with sufficient time for submission, as all closing dates and times are final and cannot be extended.

The July leg will be judged by EC Dressage and Para-Dressage Judge, Melanie Houston of Victoria, BC.

About the Para-Dressage Video Competition Series, Presented by Ride Every Stride

The Para-Dressage Video Competition Series provides riders of all levels and abilities with the opportunity to experience competition conditions in the comfort of their home stable and on a familiar horse. Participants compete against riders with similar abilities nationwide by submitting videos that are judged by EC certified Para-Dressage Judges.

Video competitions encourage riders to develop effective skills and provide them with an opportunity to compete in a progressive and structured environment. They are a fantastic way to ensure that all riders across Canada, no matter how geographically isolated, have the chance to compete. Competition is an integral part of athlete development and provides riders with new goals, as well as a sense of empowerment and accomplishment.
