World Cerebral Palsy Games 2018

Did you know?

This week the Cerebral Palsy World Games are being hosted in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain. The Games are an important part of the para athlete development pathway, providing developing athletes with a multisport games experience that will help prepare them for larger competitions such as the Parapan or Paralympic Games. “Para sport” is a term used to describe sport that is primarily aimed at persons with a disability, and comes from the idea that it is “para”llel to sport for able-bodied athletes, sometimes with adapted equipment or rules to make the game fun and accessible for everyone.

To follow the action from the Games follow Cerebral Palsy World Games or the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sport Association on Facebook.
