The relationship of music and sport is not a new field. Researchers have been studying the ways in which music affects athletes in their efforts to seek improvements in the mental aspects of the game. In one study it was shown that listening to music affects critical areas in the brain like the parietal, occipital, frontal and temporal lobe, much the same areas that are necessary for athletic performance as well.
