LTAD Webinar – Word of the Day

Word of the Day : Perceived Organizational Support (POS)

Perceived organizational support (POS) refers to the extent that an individual believes that an organization values their contributions and cares about their well-being. When POS is high, individuals are more likely to commit to the organization; when POS is low, absenteeism and drop out is more likely. Individuals, regardless of their age, are motivated upon entry into officiating. However, in the absence of POS, these motivations are prone to change and dropout may occur. Learn more about POS and the retention of officials during a Sport for Life webinar.
