We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our organization in the seasonal role of Project Coach, Ski Cross NextGen/Pathway Lead.  

Reporting to the High Performance Director, Ski Cross the Project Coach will support our mission to increase podium performances by assisting in the execution of all team performance strategies, targeting both short-term and long-term athletic development and performance benchmarks.

Duties:

  • Assist with YTP program design and delivery of athlete preparation and competition
  • Perform annual gap analysis and progress reports for individual athletes in the NextGen training group and project invites
  • Support planning, organization and implementation of pathway projects such as prospect and development camps
  • Assist with budgeting, logistical planning, bookings etc. of prep/comp camps
  • Ensure a quality DTE at all preparatory camps and quality race execution during the competition phase of the YTP
  • Contribute to all on-snow duties (ex. Course prep, course setting and course maintenance)
  • Contribute to daily staff meetings at camps/comps discussing the DTE, competition plan and organizational logistics at camps/events
  • Manage and maintain group equipment
  • Manage video collection and reviewwith individual athletes
  • Track training and competition course sets and free ski venues
  • Manage individual athlete on snow tracking including:
  • Course parameters – training volumes (runs, heats, etc)
  • GPS tracking and monitoring
  • Competition and training evaluation(qualifying times/rank/final rank etc)
  • Regular communication with ACA-SX World Cup coaching staff to align the design, implementation and athlete management
  • Ensure welfare and health of athletes when travelling
  • Provide and support safe training and competitive environments

Working Conditions

  • Full Time Seasonal position November 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026
  • Constant Travel Required
  • Significant time working outdoors in winter conditions
  • Requires lifting, walking and skiing
  • Significant overtime required during peak periods to be taken as time in lieu as scheduling permits

Employment Requirements

  • Must be DL Coaching Certified at minimum in Alpine
  • Experience as an athlete or coach on the Continental Cup or National Level circuit in Alpine disciplines
  • Ski Cross coaching experience an asset
  • Demonstratable knowledge of boot-fitting and ski preparation is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) is considered an asset as well as the ability to communicate in German

Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with experience working in complex workplaces with many key stakeholders. Understanding the various software (Office, Google Docs, Adobe, etc.) is also an asset.
