Imagine this: Supporting Canada’s top and rising summer athletes – and doing it all at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland!

Yes, you read that right – we’re headed to Glasgow, and Commonwealth Sport Canada (CSC) is on the hunt for passionate, committed volunteer Mission Team members to help lead Team Canada to victory! We’re recruiting for a number of individuals to cover a range of roles within our Operations Unit critical to ensuring our athletes compete at their best and shine on the world stage.

Your Commitment
To join the Mission Team, you must be:

  • Available full-time in Glasgow from July 20 to August 3, 2026.
  • Willing to attend a face-to-face weekend team orientation in Toronto or Ottawa, plus monthly virtual meetings.
  • Able to contribute to the final team report (due by August 30, 2026).
  • Prepared for a volunteer screening process and to sign a Team Member Agreement.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Individuals with Games or team experience (an asset, not a must).
  • Proven commitment to Commonwealth Sport Canada is a plus.
  • Bilingualism is a big asset – and essential for certain roles.
  • Must uphold a safe, respectful, and drug-free environment.

Administration Ace
Keep the Team Canada Headquarters humming! From housing assignments to maintenance requests, day passes, meal passes and even packing and shipping—you’re the go-to for all things organized and operational.

Clothing & Fashion Star
Help our athletes gear up with pride! From size tracking to sorting and distributing, you’ll make sure everyone gets their Team Canada apparel—quickly, efficiently, and with style. Some duties happen in Canada, while others are critical during the first few days at the Games.

Ombudsperson (The Go-To Listener & Guide)
Support team members 24/7 with confidential advice, legal information, and peer counselling. Independent, trustworthy, and fair—you’ll ensure everyone’s rights are respected, and provide neutral support and dispute resolution when needed.

Security Liaison Officer
Your mission: safety first! Take a proactive and responsive role in keeping Team Canada safe and secure throughout the Games. You’re the quiet guardian ensuring peace of mind for all.

Special Activations & Events Extraordinaire
You’re the heart and soul of Team Canada spirit!

Run the welcome/orientation programs
Lead recognition events and activities to keep spirits high
Secure event tickets for athletes to cheer on their teammates in other sports
Be a friendly face, problem-solver, and connector both in the Village and out
Work with all departments to ensure a stellar experience for Team Canada members and their families

Transportation Pro
Love logistics? Help Team Canada athletes and staff get to training, competition, and special events. You’ll make sure no one misses a beat (or a bus)!

Tech Whiz
If routers, wifi and equipment setup are your jam, we need you! Set up and maintain all the tech needed to keep the Canadian Team Offices connected and running like clockwork.
