Overview of the Position
The Coordinator, Partnerships, supports all sponsorship, activation, and revenue generation goals for the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games. Through cultivating positive relationships with partners, identifying funding opportunities, and acting as a key contact between the Host Society and the business community, the Coordinator will play a key role in the 2025 Canada Games success in St. John’s.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Supporting the team with the service delivery, development and recognition, fulfillment activities and requirements as per sponsor contracts;
- Draft sponsorship contracts and presentations for new sponsors;
- Helping to identify, plan and execute special events pre games and Games-time;
- Coordinating with Games-time volunteers to support the delivery of partnership activations, programs and events;
- Preparing required reports through data collection and analysis of sponsorship and revenue information;
- Providing ongoing support to all partners, including the Canada Games Council and other national partners;
- Being a fully engaged team member with a goal of positive and healthy relationships in the workplace
- Executing all responsibilities in a manner which is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games, and;Â
- Fulfilling all other duties as reasonably required.
Education/Experience
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in, Business Administration, Event Management, Communications, or a related field;
- Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience or a combined equivalent of education and work experience.
QualificationsÂ
- Event planning and project management experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage logistics, budgets, and schedules efficiently
- Creative, results-oriented, able to deliver on deadlines and deliverablesÂ
- Experience with Google’s G Suite programs (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Slides, Forms and Calendar, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience working in events and not-for-profit
- Ability to liaise and interact with multiple partners, locally, provincially and nationally.
Other
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Based on position requirements, flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Conditions of Employment
- Office hours are 40 hours/week
