Two Manitobans selected to World Archery Youth Championships

August 4, 2021 — Archery Manitoba is pleased to announce two Manitobans — Brady Klassen and Chyler Sanders — have been named to Team Canada for the 2021 World Archery Youth Championships in Wroclaw, Poland, Aug. 9 to 15.

Sanders and Klassen, both from Winnipeg, join a seven-member contingent wearing the Maple Leaf in Poland. Klassen will shoot compound archery in the junior men category, while Sanders is entered in the compound cadet women category. It’s the third World Archery Youth Championships for Klassen (2017, Rosario, Argentina; 2019, Madrid) and the second for Sanders (2019, Madrid).

The Canadian team is reduced in size due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is travelling to an alternate location after Perth, Australia was forced to abandon its hosting of the event due to the pandemic.
