U21 Team Canada Men’s Team 2021

May 28, 2021: Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce the Indoor Men’s U21 team for 2021, which is comprised of athletes with the potential to represent Canada at the 2028 Olympic Games. The program will run in Gatineau, Quebec, from July 5 to early October.

“After a successful virtual training session last year, we are excited and ready to get to work in person in Gatineau,” said Ryan Marsden, men’s U21 head coach. “We have selected a very good group of athletes that can’t wait to represent our country. We appreciate all the support of those who made this program possible in 2021.”

This team will represent Canada at the FIVB U21 World Championships scheduled to take place in Italy/Bulgaria from September 23 to October 3.

“This group of athletes represents the future of the men’s program, and I congratulate the hard-working players and coaches who kept the momentum going during the pandemic,” said Julien Boucher, Volleyball Canada high performance director for indoor teams. “We’re looking forward to seeing them train and compete later this year.”

The program will be led by head coach Ryan Marsden and assisted by Ian Eibbitt and Gabriel deGroot.
