The CCES Seeks Organizations to Participate in Survey About Non-Binary Athlete Participation

(Ottawa, Ontario – April 7, 2020) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) is looking for Canadian sport organizations from all levels and sports to complete a one-hour telephone survey with an independent contractor to discuss what supports sport organizations require with regards to the inclusion of non-binary athletes.

The CCES will use the survey results to identify gaps and opportunities with the goal of increasing non-binary participation. Non-binary is an umbrella term for gender identities that fall outside of the male-female binary. This initiative will advance the CCES’s vision of sport in Canada that is fair, safe and open to everyone by contributing to a culture of safe sport in which athletes may be their fullest and most authentic selves.
