Pan-Am Championships entries announced

OTTAWA – The Pan-American Championships are set to take place March 6 to 9 at the Shaw Centre in downtown Ottawa.

The Canadian team will feature 2019 Canadian Wrestling Trials winners Amar Dhesi and Jasmit Phulka, as well 2018 World Champion Justina Di Stasio, 2018 U23 World Champion Alexandria Town, and 2019 U23 bronze medallist Hannah Taylor.

Internationally, Olympic champion Ismael Borrero Molina of Cuba leads a list of eight returning Greco-Roman champions into Ottawa.

America’s pair of reigning world champions Tamyra Mensah and Adeline Gray are two of the five 2019 gold medalists that highlight the women’s wrestling part of the competition.

In freestyle, Americans Anthony Ashnault, Jordan Burroughs and Kyle Snyder return to the Pan-American championships looking to retain the titles they claimed a year ago.
