Three Skaters to Represent Canada at the NHK Trophy in Japan

Ottawa, ON (Nov. 4, 2025) – After a successful Skate Canada International, Canadian athletes are making their way to Osaka, Japan, for the fourth stop of the ISU Grand Prix circuit. Canada will send a team comprised of three athletes competing in women’s and ice dance to the NHK Trophy, scheduled to take place from Nov. 7-9.

In the women’s event, Canadian national bronze medallist Katherine Medland Spence will make her Grand Prix debut in Osaka. She kicked off her season at the Challenger Series Nebelhorn Trophy where she finished tenth.

In ice dance, Canadian national bronze medallists Alicia Fabbri and Paul Ayer will enter the event following a fourth-place result at the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge. The duo will aim to improve on their eighth-place finish in last season’s Grand Prix series.
